Food Testing
State Public Health Laboratory, Assam is committed to provide the best services to the people of the state of Assam in particular and the nation in general.
Water Testing
Samples of drinking water and packaged drinking as per the standards of Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) etc.
Our aim is to achieve the following Service Delivery/Quality parameters

Analysis of Private commercial/non-commercial Food/Water samples (involving additional parameters) | 20 Working Days |
Analysis of Private non-commercial Food/Water samples (routine parameters) | 15 Working Days |
Disclaimer
However, the effect of financial, legal and time schedule aspects of the sample reports as requested by the customers when found genuine will be taken into account.

If you have any complaint with respect to delivery of above standards, you are welcome to register your complaint in the “Complaint Box” in the prescribed form available along with the “Complaint Box” available at the First Floor near the Notice Board in this office building. All complaints will be acknowledged by us within 7 (seven) working days and the final reply on action taken will communicated within 15 (fifteen) working days.
This charter is a joint effort between us and you to improve the quality of service provided by us and we request you to suggest measures improve our qaulity of service in the “Feedback Form” available with the officer noted above.

** Our lab now is equipped with Sophisticated instruments like LC-MS/MS, GC-MS/MS and ICP-MS for trace level analysis of Pesticide Residues, Drug Residues, Natural toxins and heavy metals. These specialized services do not fall under the delivery timing as mentioned above.
