Analysis Fees

We, as a Government of Assam Food Laboratory, offer our services at fees notified by an Order by The Governor of Assam dated 13 January, 2021. The following are the Cost of Analyses for different food and water samples. Analysis fees should be deposited along with the sample at the Reception Block, Ground Floor. Present payment mode is UPI only. One should fill-up a form available at the counter and submit the same with the samples.

The actual tests conducted at the laboratory depend on its current testing capacity and available equipment, which may differ from what is shown here. Not all test categories listed are necessarily available at the time of sample submission. The exact fee applicable to your sample will be determined at the laboratory counter based only on the tests that are selected and carried out at the time of submission. Please verify the applicable tests and fees directly at the lab before submitting your sample.

Additionally, while the fees were notified by the Government of Assam in 2021, they are subject to revision at any time and changes may not be reflected on this website without prior notice. The actual fees payable are calculated at the time of sample submission at the lab counter.

Important Information — Water Sample Submission

Sample Size Requirements

1. Chemical Analysis
Minimum 1 (one) Litre or 1000 mL of water sample in a clean corked bottle must be submitted for analysis of chemical parameters.
2. Microbiological Analysis
The Microbiology section in the lab provides the necessary container (sterile) and procedure for sample submission. Please get in touch with the concerned section before submitting samples for microbiological analysis.

For samples in factory sealed pack or bottle, the package can be submitted as it is without tampering the seal.
