Microbiology Department

SPHL Assam houses a state-of-the-art Microbiology Laboratory equipped for microbiological examination of food and water samples. The laboratory is fully operational, currently analysing samples for a defined set of parameters, and is actively pursuing NABL accreditation — which is expected to be in place by August 2026.

NABL Accreditation in Progress: The Microbiology Laboratory is currently in the process of obtaining NABL accreditation as per ISO/IEC 17025:2017. All testing is carried out following validated standard methods and good laboratory practices. Accreditation is expected to be completed by August 2026, after which reports will carry full NABL statutory validity.

Call or email us to confirm the parameters you need tested and to obtain the current analysis fee schedule.

Prepare Your Sample

Follow our sample collection guidelines (available at the front desk). Ensure proper labelling, quantity and packaging.

Submit & Pay Fees

Deposit the sample at our reception counter with the completed sample submission form and pay the applicable analysis fees.

4

Receive Your Report

NABL-stamped test reports are issued within the stipulated turnaround time. Results are also communicated digitally on request.
