Instruments’ Facility inaugurated
Hon’ble Minister of State Sjt. Pijush Hazarika has inaugurated the sophisticated instruments’ facility at our lab on 5th March, 2020. The Commissioner of Food Safety, Dr. Chandrima Baruah along with other dignitaries and staff were present on the occassion.
The instruments’ facility is comprised of LC-MS/MS, GC-MS/MS and ICP-MS procured under Central Sector Scheme funded by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI). The new facilities would enable the laboratory to analyze pesticide residues, veterinary drug and antibiotic residues, heavy metals, mycotoxins, etc.
